HI Everybody

I received a prayer request from Jeane’ Mock for their neighbor who was involved in a farming accident. Jeane has shared that the accident sounded pretty bad and that life flight was being called in. We ask that you pray for the victim of this accident as well as the family who is no doubt worried and the emergency personnel who are working to save the victim. Pray that the Lord would be with each person involved and that they would receive the comfort and healing that is needed.

For the next few weeks, we will be doing a study on Sunday Mornings called “A People of Grace.” Books are in the Foyer.

Family Fun Night is THIS Friday at 6:30pm.

ATTENTION NYI: We started remodeling the TEEN Room. We will be working again on Wednesday August 23 at 6:30 pm and Saturday August 26 beginning at 8am. 

Promotion Sunday has been moved to September 10.

There will be a Nature Walk @ Shawnee on Sunday September 10 at 2pm. 

We will be collecting our Alabaster Offerings on Sunday September 10 and Sunday September 17.

Petersburg Church of the Nazarene is planning to host a Prayer Retreat with 

Dr. Estelle Gross on September 29-September 30. Dinner will be provided on Friday Evening. There will be snacks on Saturday. There will be more information when we receive it.

Hi Everybody

I received an update on Stephanie’s mother, Her pain has decreased and she has been made more comfortable and she is feeling better. Continue to pray that the infection would be healed and she would be able to have her prosthetic restored.

I also received a prayer request from Adena, for her nephew Jordan Feaster. Jordan was admitted to the hospital with a bowel obstruction. We ask that you pray for the medical staff to be able to identify exactly what is going on and how best to treat it. Pray that the Lord would touch Jordan’s body and heal it and that he would be able to resume his normal activity as soon as possible.

HI Everybody

I received a prayer request from Lynn for her friend Stephanie’s mother. This woman’s hip replacement went bad and a serious infection ensued. Surgeons removed a part of the prosthetic and cleaned as much infected material as possible. Yesterday when they tried to move her the prosthetic dislocated putting her in excruciating pain. We are asking that you pray for the woman, pray that the pain would be controlled, pray that the infection would be removed, and pray for the Lord to heal her body. Also pray for the medical staff as they work to put everything back into place, remove the infection, and restore this prosthetic. Pray that all involved would find success and healing and the Lord would be given the glory for how he has worked in this situation.

Hi Everybody

I received a couple of prayer requests from Marie Wentz. First an updte on her brother in law Rodney Whetstone, he was running a fever of 102 and they were giving him antibiotics in order to treat the temperature. Pray that the fever will come down and Rodney would continue to heal and make a full recovery.

Next was for her cousin, Meghann’s husband, Tom Miller. Tom had a biopsy recently, and they are waiting for the results. Pray that the situation he is being tested for is not cancerous and easily treated. Pray also that the symptoms will go away and Tom would return to good health.
