Prayer Request and Update:

Hi Everybody

I have a few prayer requests to pass along.

First Matt Miller sent me an update on his grandmother, Ina. The did remove Ina’s failed replacement hip. They had her up yesterday walking around and Matt said if all goes well they will be sending her home today.  We ask that you continue to pray for her healing. Pray for strength each new day; pray that the pain is bearable; and for her to be drawn close to the Lord in this time.

I also received a prayer request yesterday from Karen Draeger for her son Michael and his girlfriend, Heidi. Both work as EMS and Heidi was involved with the transport of a positive COVID 19 patient. This means Heidi is directly exposed to the virus and Michael has been indirectly exposed to the virus. They are both able to continue working though they must take precautions. If they begin to present symptoms of the virus then they will be isolated. We ask that you pray they do not contract the virus, and they would be protected from future exposure to it as well.

Pray for all of our EMS, hospital and medical staff, as well as our fire and police personnel, that they would also be protected during this time.

Thank You

Pastor Kevin

Hi Everybody,

I prayer that all is going well for each of you. I have a few items to address regarding how we may move forward in a changing time.

First I have been asked about tithes and offerings. If you wish you may bring your tithes and offerings to the church Monday, Thursday, or Friday between the hours of 9 and 3 and give them to Penny or myself, you may also mail them to the church, or hold them until we may be able to worship together.

Next, if you need assistance during this time please let me know. I have people who are eager to help you with things like getting items from a store, or doing tasks for you. We are encouraged to stay close to home and out of the public, please take this threat seriously and if you have a need let us know.

Finally the Sermon recording is on the website ; once on the website go to resources and then sermons and you may choose whether to listen to the audio only by pressing the start button or watch the video by pressing the icon below the word watch.  You may also follow this link or if maneuvering the website is confusing, you may also use this link and clicking on the icon in the middle of the screen. I have delivered CD’s and DVD’s to those who have requested.  I encourage you to participate in either watching or listening to the sermon at our usual sermon time or as you get the chance.

Thank You

Pastor Kevin

Prayer Requests

We received a few prayer requests from Arlene for Marcia Martin. Marcia’s friend Janet is in the Altoona Hospital in dire need of a stent. We ask that you pray for Janet that she is able to receive the stent she needs and it will remedy her heart issues.

Marcia’s sister has also been in the hospital in Texas with pneumonia. Pray that she will receive the treatment necessary to heal her body.

Finally, Marcia has not been feeling well since returning from Texas. We ask that you pray for her well being and that she may get the rest needed to help her begin to feel better

Thank You

Hi Everybody,

As many of you may have heard, the Governor has asked that we take part in mitigation and all non-essential businesses be closed for a period of two weeks. He has also asked that any assemblies of ten persons or more be cancelled. The instructions for churches and clergy are not so clear; however, we do fall under the umbrella of 10 or more persons meeting together. I have received a recommendation from Dr. Bowser suggesting that all churches suspend public worship for the next two weeks.

After consulting with our board, I am announcing that we will not hold any public services for the next two weeks including March 18th – 31st. However, small groups of less than ten may meet at the discretion of those involved. If you have questions regarding any particular group please ask.

In the meantime, I am continuing to prepare messages for each week. I will be posting them on our website. My hope is to have them online before each Sunday so we are able to continue to worship as a congregation in separate locations. I will make available cd’s and dvd’s of these messages for those who do not have internet capabilities. Please contact myself (814) 977-0318 or the church office 839-2543 to let us know you desire a disk and I will make every effort to get them to you before Sunday of each week.

My prayer is that you are doing well and staying safe in these days. Please feel free to contact me if you have any other needs during this time.

Thank You

Pastor Kevin
