Hi everybody

I received a prayer request for Stan Mock and family. Stan is in the Altoona hospital and they are saying he only has a few days left. He is sleeping a lot and his mind is still there but his heart is failing and has a hard time breathing.

We ask that you keep Stan in your prayers, pray for healing in whatever shape that takes. Pray also for his family. Pray that in this time that they will be strengthened and comforted in the days ahead. Pray also that the Lord would give them peace in this time.I Hi

I also have an update on my father. Dad is on his way home and is continuing to heal. He will need another procedure in the future but we are not sure of that timing as of yet. Keep praying for his full recovery and healing.

Hi Everybody

I have two prayer requests to pass along. First Bev called asking that we pray for Bill and Bobbie Brubaker and their family. Bill’s Mother passed away yesterday and the family will be grieving. We do not know any of the arrangements as of yet. We ask that you would lift the family, especially Bill and Bobbie up in prayer for the comfort of the Lord in the days to come. Pray that the Lord would give them strength for each new day and comfort in the hours ahead.

Also, my father Ernest Davis is still in the hospital waiting for a catheterization which will most like occur tomorrow. He had a stress test on Monday and there was an irregularity they were not comfortable with and want to look into it further. Pray that as he waits, he will sense the Lord’s presence and he would be strengthened in the days to come. Pray also that the results would bring good news and he would be able to return home soon.

Special Ministries Meeting is Thursday November 06 at 7pm.

First Friday Breakfast is November 07 at 8:30am.

Work Day is Saturday November 08 beginning at 8am.

Freedom House is having a Volunteer Training on Saturday November 08 from 9am-10:30am. This is the Final Training before opening.

Veterans Day will be celebrated NEXT Sunday November 09. Kids will be making cards THIS Wednesday November 05 at 6:30pm.

Keystone Family Alliance is hosting a movie NEXT Sunday November 09 at the Pitt Theatre at 3pm, doors open at 2:15pm. They will be showing “Sound of Hope: the Story of Possum Trot”. They warn that this movie is for ADULTS ONLY. This is a FREE Event but Registration is required. Information on the movie and how to register is on the Bulletin Board.

Freedom House is having a Fundraising Banquet on Saturday November 22 at 4pm. It will be at the Country Side Processing Banquet Room formerly Ivy Stone. The cost is $15 per person. Reservations must be made by Sunday November 09. Please let Penny know if you would like to go.

There is a Sign Up Sheet for the Annual Thanksgiving Meal. All items are due to the church by Sunday November 23 except for turkeys and pies. THAWED Turkeys & Pies should be dropped off to the ABC Fire Company on Wednesday November 26. Thawed turkeys at 8am. Pies before NOON.

Hams will be purchased by the church. The estimated cost is $50. An exact amount will be given to those who sign up for them as soon as Penny has a total cost. Any other questions regarding food donations, please speak with Krista or Lisa.

There is a QR Code in the Bulletin for anyone wanting to donate to the Christmas Shoebox Project. There is also a box in the foyer if you would like to donate with cash or check. Any questions, please speak with Marie or Sharon.

The last day to bring in Shoeboxes and Donations is NEXT Sunday November 02.

Our Annual Meeting Part 1 Elections will be on Sunday November 16.

Ladies Book Club is THIS Tuesday October 21 at 7pm.

Family Fun Night is THIS Friday October 24 at 6:30pm.

There are still time slots open for the Kindness Outreach Prayer Tent at Heather’s Kup THIS Saturday October 25 from 9am-2pm. There is a sign up sheet in the Foyer.

Nomination Letters have been mailed out. Please have them filled out and returned to Pastor Kevin by NEXT Sunday October 26.

Team Day is Saturday November 01 from 9am-3pm @ Grace Pointe Community Church of the Nazarene.The cost is $20 which includes lunch. If you would like to be registered to go, please let Pastor Kevin or Penny know by NEXT Sunday October 26.
