Prayer Request

We received a couple prayer requests.

First for Leslie Castro, her PIC line pulled out sometime through the night and apparently lost a good bit of blood. They are currently moving her back to ICU and giving her units of blood.

Jane Folk, Arlene’s cousin, is getting radiation treatments for her cancer. The doctors have estimated that she has about 6 months left so they will be most likely pacing her on hospice.

Marsha asked us to pray for their friend Perry Miller from Altoona. He has been bleeding since last Saturday and they cannot locate where the bleed is. They have given him at least three units of blood and if there is no improvement by Monday they will be sending him to Pittsburgh.

I am asking that you pray for each of these people who are in life threatening situations. Please pray that the Lord is at work in each of their lives. Pray that they know Jesus as Lord and Savior and that the Lord would place his healing touch upon each of them and heal the ailments that they are dealing with. Pray that the Lord will reduce any pain they may be experiencing, that He will comfort them in these days and that their families will have peace in knowing the Lord is in control.

Thank You.

Prayer Request

We received a prayer request from Liz Miller for her brother Joe McCreary. Joe was experiencing extremely high blood pressure this morning and was taken to Conemaugh hospital for treatment. At this time the blood pressure doesn’t seem to be improving.

We are asking you pray for Joe; that whatever is causing this high blood pressure can be identified and he is able to get relief. Please pray that the Lord’s healing touch would come upon him and lower the pressure safely. Pray also for his family in this time. Pray that they will be calmed by the touch of the Holy Spirit and that they will be comforted until Joe is able to make a complete recovery and return home.

Thank You

Prayer Request

We received a prayer request from Randy Imler for his brother in law Joe Shives. Joe was having difficulty breathing yesterday while on a stay in Rehoboth Beach. They took him to the hospital and are currently keeping him in a medically induced coma because his lungs are not functioning properly. He is currently in critical condition.

We ask that you pray for Joe. Please pray that he would be healed and fully recover from this situation. Pray that the medical team would have the wisdom and knowledge to identify and treat Joe. Pray that the Lord will watch over the family and that He will calm their fears, give them courage for each new day, and provide the peace that only comes from the Lord.

Thank You

Prayer Request

We received a prayer request from Arlene for Jim Miller. Jim went to the doctor for some medical concerns yesterday. The Doctor suspects a diagnosis but we find it is better to pray over it. So we are asking that you pray for Jim, that this issue is not as severe as the doctor suspects; pray that Jim would recover fully and quickly of the symptoms that he has; and, pray that Jim would improve with his other medical ailments. Pray for his well being and continued health.

Also continue to remember the Miller and Thomas Families after the passing of Kitty’s sister, Betty Thomas. Pray for continued strength from the Lord, pray for comfort as they mourn, and pray for Joy and Peace in each new day.

Thank You.

Prayer Request

We received a prayer request from Randy Imler for one of the men working for him. Shane Spicer got his fingers caught in the cement mixer this morning and has been taken to the hospital. We aren’t currently uncertain of the extent of his injuries, but we are asking for prayer. Pray that the injuries aren’t too severe, that he does not lose any of his fingers to these injuries. Pray that his pain can be managed and that he is able to heal quickly. Pray that the Lord would bring a calmness to this young man during this time of anxiety and uncertainty. Pray also for those working with him as this can surely have an effect on them as well.

Thank You.

Prayer Request

We have a couple prayer requests to pass along.

First, Gary Foor is still having a lot of discomfort and pain. He saw a doctor who has made some changes to his medications in hope that this may help relieve the pain and discomfort. We are asking you to pray that in the days to come that the pain and discomfort will go away and that Gary will make a complete recovery.

We also received a prayer request from Arlene for Leslie Deitman Castro. A donor heart may have been found and they will know for sure after some testing. Her parents are preparing to head to Pittsburgh as soon as they hear for certain. We ask that you pray that this heart is a match and that there will be traveling mercies as the parents travel and that all goes well.

Arlene also shared a prayer request for an unnamed cancer patient who was sent home to prepare for their final days. We ask that you pray for this person to find peace and draw close to the Lord in the days to come. We also ask that you pray for the family to be united in these days.

Thank you.

Prayer Request

We received a prayer request from Lynn Freeman concerning her daughter Brittney. Brittney went into labor last evening, many weeks too soon. The doctors gave her medication to try to slow down the progression of labor, but were not able to get her stabilized. Brittney delivered Caius Glenn but he was too small and the medical team was not able to save him. He passed after 4.5 hours. Brittney is doing ok but we are asking that you pray for her during this time. Pray for strength to face each new day; pray for her to find peace in this time of mourning and pray that during this time that the Lord would wrap his arms around her and shroud her with his healing touch.

Thank You
