Hello everyone.

Sandy Titmus called asking for prayer. She will be heading to Pittsburgh tomorrow to have a consultation with a surgeon regarding the amputation of her leg. 

She is asking for prayer for traveling mercies as Tara will be driving and has never driven in Pittsburgh.

Also pray that as she meets with her surgeon that God will put a sense of calmness and peace upon her.

We are having the church basement carpets scrubbed. They will be spraying scotch guard on the carpets and they cannot be walked on. THE BASEMENT WILL BE CLOSED THIS WEEK ON TUESDAY and WEDNESDAY. WEDNESDAY EVENING GROUPS WILL NOT BE ABLE TO USE THE BASEMENT. NYI and PRE-TEEN Classes will meet in the Fellowship Hall.

Building & Grounds Meeting for October has been CANCELED.

First Friday Breakfast @ Denny’s is Friday October 3 at 8:30am.

NYI Murder Mystery Night @ Bedford Village is Saturday October 14. Please let Ronnie know if you plan to go by Sunday October 08.

Nominating Committee will meet on Monday October 16 at 7pm.

In One Accord Ministries is having their Fundraising Banquet on Tuesday October 17 from 6pm-8pm. The Board has purchased seating. If you would like to go, please speak with Penny as soon as possible. Spaces are limited.

Wednesday Evening Small Group will begin a study of John Bevere’s “The Awe of God” on October 18. Any questions, please speak with Marsha.

Men’s Movie and Wing Night is Saturday October 21 at 6pm. Bring your favorite wings and a side or dessert to share.

Hi Everybody

I have a couple prayer requests. First, Jim Hahn that we have been praying for has passed away and last evening His wife Daris was taken to the hospital with stroke like symptoms. We ask that you would pray for Daris to begin to feel better and that this was not a stroke. Pray also for her and her family to be comforted in the days to come as they mourn Jim’s passing.

Next, I received a prayer request from Marie for Rodney Whetstone who was taken back to the hospital for intestinal bleeding. Also, his wife was taken to the hospital Sunday and treated for dehydration. We ask that you pray for both Rodney and his wife Sylvia as they recover. Pray that they would be healed and restored by the Lord in the days to come.

Petersburg Church of the Nazarene is planning to host a Prayer Retreat with Dr. Estelle (Gross) Cyrus on September 29-October 01. There is a flyer with more information on the Bulletin Board. TODAY is the last day to let us know if you want to go.

There will be a Nature Walk @ Shawnee NEXT Sunday October 01 at 2pm. We will be meeting at the large parking lot near the beach area. Everyone is welcome to attend. Any questions, speak with Adena.

Hi Everybody

I received a message from Tracee Brown. Tracee begins treatment with Radioactive Iodine this week and she would really appreciate our prayers. I ask that as she is being treated that she would be free of any and all negative side effects; that she would feel the presence of God around her; and that the treatment would be a success. Pray that in the days to come she would be given a clean bill of health. Also pray for her family and friends to be blessed and be a blessing to Tracee during this time.
